Thanks although i guess the synergy won't be that great .HD580 (and HD6X0) like beefier higher voltage amps.I'm more interested pairing it with the HD595.Anyone tried this combo?

Everyone here seems to be comparing the LDM+ against the PA2V2 - and finding it better. But does anyone know how it would compare against a Cmoy using the OPA2227? They are going around a similar price, with the LDM+ being perhaps a bit cheaper once you consider the casing etc. Any info would be most welcome.

Sorry... 1 other question. I have a HD600 and also a Etymotic ER6i. Should I got for a high or low gain model? Or perhaps these 2 headphones are too different to use the same amp?

Can anyone make a comparison between LDM+ and Pint (normal and mini3fied) amps?

Just thought I would chime in here. It's been forever since I'd looked at head-fi.

I found out about this amp on here yesterday, and just ordered one of the two that went up on eBay, and separately a Cardas mini-mini interconnect to go along with it.

My setup used to be a Panasonic portable CDP > Headroom Airhead > Sennheiser HD580, and I realised after a while that the amp just could not do the headphones justice. Since then I kinda dropped out of the race for better equipment due to lack of money. My current setup is a 4G iPod and Koss PortaPro headphones -- which I've considered good enough without doing a lot of research and spending lots of money.

The amp ought to do well with the PortaPros, and I figure this is a good chance to pull out the HD580s again, perhaps this setup will suit them a little better. Thought I'm a little concerned, based on comments here, that it may still be a bit lacking considering the HD580s are 300 ohms...

Shucks... out of stock again from David. I was too slow. Though if you're desperate, there's someone in France selling it for about 20% more.
