Hey folks,

I know this is a little late (new member) but if this is still a go at some point, I'm down. Hopefully I'll have my K701's by then!

First you need someone to host a meet. I could host a small mini meet, but it would be no noobs allowed hehe.

Toronto meet would be cool. Wouldn't mind trying out some of these crazy 'phones. But I'll admit im part of the n00b fanclub so I'm not invited :p.

I was going to make some wise-crack, but I forgot what it was. I'll see if I can bring my tube amp along somehow after I glue the parts down.

Cool let me know when you get around to that and I'll setup a mini meet date. I fixed the slight lack of warmth in my system. I tried to change the tone through the cable (tried tri-alloy cable, copper vd master, silver plated copper nordust cable, gold-carbon-silver wolff) and ended up with a cable with very similar tone as the one I started with hehe. Then I tried changing my output tubes and found a set that makes the tone less dark and adds more warmth. I have another set of tubes that are extremely transparent and detailed but they have too much treble energy for my system so they didn't make the cut.

Biggie.

LOL... this thread is 5 months old. I was very confused for a minute. Almost replied to Redleader saying something like "Wait, I'm having a meet in November? First I've heard of it."

Ooooh, its in the past.

Anyways. I think a TO meet might be in order. I vote xand1x to host it... with his Stello and his K701s and everything. I'll bring the Lavry!

hehe, no entrance fee required.

If there is a TO meet, I'm there! I've only missed one since joining head-fi and that was a family thing. I'll probably be hosting another Hamilton meet in the summer sometime once I get my Wi-Fi rig all done up as some of the students complained that the last two were around exam time.

I'm going to send a PM to xand1x... he's been saying he wants to host a meet for a while, but is getting lazy I think.

Then I'll especially go. Unfortunately I don't really have much interesting stuff to bring.

I'd love to hear the DT880's again, and the turbodock is intriguing.

EDIT: Also, if you finish your Millet Hybrid in time I would be interested in seeing how it does with the K340's. They like a good tube amp.
