    Elysian Pilgrim

Has anyone compared Pilgrim x I/O Volare? I know there's a good difference in price, but I wanted to know if Pilgrim gets there or if it's worth adding a little more money and maybe looking at Volare...

    Elysian Pilgrim

I also have the IE600 and your description gave a good idea of the Pilgrim's sound. In the IE600 I feel that for rock and especially metal there is something missing in the mid-range, perhaps to give body and something to give "distortion and crunch" to the guitars without being so aggressive...

    Sound Rhyme impression thread

Does anyone have the Dte500 and can listen to it or did they have the EPZ 530? The Dte tuning really caught my attention, I think it could be a good complement to my EPZ... A different flavor for sure.

Recommendations for comfortable IEM for listening in bed

In terms of sound, I consider it to be on the same level as the Kato in terms of technical performance, perhaps with a more correct and balanced tuning in all aspects. IE200 is extremely light and small, it's literally a DD in a plastic shell, so light it looks like a toy. I haven't tested...

I wonder how this compares to the Falcon Ultra, which in principle has the same diaphragm material

Between the EA1000, Falcon Ultra and OD200, which do you recommend more for listening to Metal (thinking about the crunch of the guitar, good vocal presence, prominent bass and fast kick drum)?

    EPZ Discussion and Impressions

I paired my EPZ 530 with the Shanling H5. It's a pretty much definitive combo for me; I feel like I don't need anything more mobile than these two! The Shanling H5 has a lot of cool features, plus the warm sound I was looking for in a device like this. The EPZ, on the other hand, manages to...

Shanling H5 - Portable DAC/AMP/Player, AKM AK4493S DACs and sweet warm tuning

I also paired my EPZ 530 with the Shanling H5. It's a practically definitive combo; I feel like I don't need anything more mobile than these two! The Shanling H5 has a lot of cool features, plus the warm sound I was looking for in a device like this.

It arrived here yesterday. Extremely musical. Great detailing; the resolution and micro-detail surprised me.

I ordered an EPZ 530 unit as well... I couldn't resist this hype. I was looking some full-BA models (among them the Leisurely L8s), but I ended up shooting this EPZ after the Akros review. At the end of the year I want to test side by side with a unit from the Neon Pro and another from the...

Shanling H5 - Portable DAC/AMP/Player, AKM AK4493S DACs and sweet warm tuning

That's it. I have both and my sound impressions are similar to yours. Both great equipment, the G5 can be considered more resolute and the H5 more musical; however, the Shanling carries more features that make it an excellent choice!

    Shanling H7 - High-End Portable DAC/AMP/Player, Featuring new AKM AK4499EX Flagship DAC

Portable, powerful and doesn't color the sound, I would recommend the Topping NX7 anyway. I have the G5 here, and since you're going to pair it with a DAP, I don't think the extra investment in the G5 can be worth it vs the NX7...
