They're really fantastic headphones! I guess I just got a bad one!

Left driver is dead. RIP. 

I have been listening to a variety of bass heavy tracks and it appears the left driver can't handle bass at high volume. There's cracks, pops, and distortion. I connected my HD800 to the same chain at the same volume playing the same tracks and there was no distortion. Did I get a defective...

When you shake the left driver you get the feeling there's something loose inside. Can anybody please shake their Elear and tell me if they hear this rattling sound? 

I'm sad to report noticeable distortion issues and rattling in the left driver while listening to some songs including Peter Gabriel's "Don't Give Up" near the end. I'm not sure what to do. Is this expected or faulty? 

Anybody tried the silver dragon cables with the Elear? is there a noticeable improvement in SQ? 

I think a major part of the trick is to find the perfect volume level to balance the punchiness so to speak. The Elear does have a sweet spot on the volume knob. You just gotta experiment and find it!

I think the Oppo HA-2SE would be a good option though no where near as good as the Mojo! 

Mine sounds phenomenal with the Schiit Yggdrasil +  Ragnarok combo.

Thanks but the Elear stock cable terminates with a 6.3 mm jack. I want to connect it to the 2.5 mm balanced end of the AK300. The one you put the link for has nothing to do with 2.5 mm. 

I wanna connect this to the 2.5 mm port on my AK300. Can somebody please help me sort this out? 

Tried the balanced output, significantly improved amplification! I'm now totally satisfied! This thing is PERFECT!

From what I understand, the balanced output gives out more power than the 3.5 single ended output, am I correct? 

Single ended (power is adequate but I wished for a little bit more power). I guess I'll need some sort of an adapter to use the balanced cable, I have the Sennheiser CH 800 S cables. Any recommendation for a good cable to take advantage of the balanced port on the AK amp?  

It sounds incredible! I was hoping the amp would give out a little more power but still very adequate for a nice and enjoyable experience! 

The AK300 has finally arrived! I'm very impressed with its performance sound quality wise although the amp could do a little better. Overall, very happy.

My oppo 103 bluray player is connected to an av receiver via hdmi. The rs 185 is connected to the bluray player via optical. I have a mac. What do you have in mind? Thanks so much.
