Quote: I just got a pair and as of 76 hours burn-in (headphone-out from an iPhone 4), I'm not detecting any discernible sibilance.

    Headphone shop in Europe(Belgium)

If you can make it up to Eindhoven NL, AudioXperience is well worth a visit. It's run by Hans of (Head-Fi sponsor) Qables & iQube fame. Not much to speak of in Belgium, tho...

    Ultrasone Edition 8 "Limited Edition"

Quote:   Indeed, I've been leaning toward the Palladium, since it would match up perfectly with my iQube & iPhone 4 in a portable rig, but this thread is causing me to reconsider.

Here's a description of the Ed8LE from the Ultrasone US shop (haphazard spelling theirs):     Quote:   So I can well imagine that the "foggy glow" that MuppetFace described is down to all those extra layers of clear-coat (not found on the other Ed8s?).

Mini Review: Graham Slee Voyager vs Larocco PRII mkII

Wonderful write-up there, mm! I especially like the handy spec comparison chart, nice touch. Having heard both of them recently (on separate occasions, but with the same source and my Edition 9s), I agree with you that, soundwise, these fine amps are almost too close to call.
