    Five-way Audio Technica IEM Review

Thank you! I think all of them are good value. I'm pretty interested in the new solid bass earphones AT is bringing out, they look like they will be awesome.

    Five-way Audio Technica IEM Review

They do have a filter on them. I have the original cks77 which I took the filter off. It did help balance the sound but it seemed to kill the soundstage for some reason, so I didn't bother with the new version.

    Five-way Audio Technica IEM Review

So I have had a few AT iem's in my collection for a while now and I am pretty familiar with the different sound sigs so I thought I would do a short review of all my AT's. This review will include the: -ATH-CKM500 -ATH-CKN70 -ATH-CKS77X -ATH-IM50 -ATH-CKX9iS     All reviewing was...

Audio-Technica's Take on the Microdriver: ATH-CKN50 and CKN70

Thanks for those impressions. I definitely want to grab the CKR9 at some point. At the moment I have the CKN70,the IM50 and the CKS77X as my main iem's. All very different signatures from AT with different strengths, and they seem to cover all genres in my music collection, but I'll have to...

Audio-Technica's Take on the Microdriver: ATH-CKN50 and CKN70

I completely agree with all of this (except I do hate the cord and I wish they came with a pouch) The highs are nowhere near as sharp as my Ultrasone HFI-580. I really love the CKN70, it's such a tight sound. It makes me want to try the CKR9,which someone said has a similar signature to the...

Audio Technica updates their open headphones "AD" Series: AD2000x, AD1000x, AD900x, AD700x and AD500x

I wish they had used the same cord as the A500X, which is fabric covered and much easier to handle.

Audio Technica updates their open headphones "AD" Series: AD2000x, AD1000x, AD900x, AD700x and AD500x

I have the AD500X as well and I think they are a great value, considering how inexpensive they are. Only thing I dislike is the cable, which seems to have a mind of its own. But the sound is just fantastic straight from my ipod classic.

    NEW Audio-Technica IEMs: CKR7LTD, CKR9LTD, CKB50, CKB70

I'm very interested in the CKB70. I've been waiting for AT to release a more balanced sub-$100 iem.

    ATH-A500X Impressions Thread

I haven't heard the other headphones you are mentioning, but the A500X are definitely not neutral. They have some brightness, some warmth to the mids and a slightly boosted bass. The soundstage is pretty large as well. Really beautiful sounding and great for music enjoyment but yeah, not...

    The New Audio Technica ATH-S500

I think the S500 is an upgrade over the SJ55 , but not by much. The S500 definitely has more bass quantity which is also more impactful. It also has warmer but cleaner mids. In my opinion neither have particularly extended highs but the S500 is less peaky in the upper mids. I think the S500 has...

    Audio-Technica IM50, IM70 Discussion Thread

About the same, depends on whether you prefer over-ear or not.

    Audio-Technica IM50, IM70 Discussion Thread

I can't speak for the CKS99, but if bass is the most important thing, I would go for those. The CKS77X has really impressive bass so I'm sure the CKS99 will too. The cable is slightly microphonic though so I don't know if they'd be too good for the gym. The build quality is also really great. ...

    ATH-A500X Impressions Thread

Hope you all are still loving your A500x's. I find that these sound seriously good with any type of music. Definitely my favourite headphones based purely on sound quality. Also they are sexy as hell

    The ATH-CKS77.

Also, the 77x sounds better than the original 77. Everything is slightly more refined. Still very similar though.

    The ATH-CKS77.

I don't think the treble is recessed, it's not super sparkly though. My biggest problem with them is that the mids can sometimes sound too warm on certain tracks, and there is a lack of separation on complicated tracks.

    The ATH-CKS77.

It depends on how much you like your bass. These are bass canons and I enjoy them for all sorts of genres, but they aren't particularly great for rock/metal because the bass sort of gets in the way a bit. I assume it's the same for classical but I don't listen to that genre at all. If you like...

    The NEW ATH-ES700..

Not much love around here for the little brother, the ES500. Awesome little headphone. Great for pop and vocals, and gorgeous to boot!

    Audio-Technica IM50, IM70 Discussion Thread

The IM50 and IM70 have 2x8.8mm drivers. I find the bass on the IM50 significantly less than the cks77x. Also, the IM50 has more clarity in the mids, making vocals clearer.

    The New Audio Technica ATH-S500

The only one of those I have tried is the HD201. I used to own it but I gave it away because I really didn't like it. I thought it was pretty effective at making everything sound boring,    The S500 have a big bass but also decently forward mids and sparkly highs. Definitely a...

    The NEW ATH-ES700..

Es500 are great! Good build quality and comfort, and very sleek looking. Soundwise, they are very mid-forward with tight, punchy bass. Treble is smooth but decently detailed. I find that they work best with pop and vocal music.
