Because still no one sharing this headphone in head-fi, so I make this thread.

You can see the pricing on this link: http://www.e-earphone.jp/blog/?p=14723
I hope there is lot improvement from TAD/T series.
But they didn't make successor of TAD400/T400, maybe the sales is not good as 500 and 300

Apa kabar. Bahasa indonesia sedikit.
I found some reviews on a japanese website... With google translation is kind of weird but i can manage to read that they are good, not great but good.

1. Well maybe you should buy them? Test them yourself?

2. Or i should buy them test them..................  I like the first option better.

I had the pleasure to test the ava500 today at Yodobashi /Akihabara and I came actually fairly close to buying them. On first impression, the fit an comfort is great, big ears, comfy velvet earpads, the whole thing feels light, but not cheap. Why I ended up NOT buying them: They totally lack bass! They are advertized for use with TV, PC or Digital Piano .. this might be a great fit .. for music maybe not so much :)  While googling I found 2 reviews on amazon, but I was still in the store and I did not bother to have those reviews translated .. but the overall score was only 3 out of 5 (as I found out later, those 2 reviewers had more issues with the comfort than with the sound)

I still like them as nice, open, comfy headphones, good travel substitute when I don't feel like lugging around my Hifimen or my 701er, but for that my Xiami headphones have become great travel companions.

Also like quite some the new ATH WS 1100 'Solid Bass' ... but that was already in the 200$+ price range ... Liked them too .. but I ended up finding a killer deal on some gently used STAX

I've tried AVC200 and 500 on a local store so I might share my impression. AVC200 is very warm yet not dark, but the tonality is weird, it's like they have too much boost on lower mid, probably around 500-1 khz. Bass is there but lacks impact. Rolled off high. Not much soundstage nor separation to speak of, but I guess that's fine for very entry level cans.

AVC500 fairs much better. Bass have more impact, mid is "Audio Technica house sound" where the upper mid is bright and forward though kinda grainy, the high have more presence and extension. Better soundstage, technicality etc. Both have full bodied sound and easy to drive.

I had tried ava400 with lg v10 and fiio x3+e12a
The headphone is very comfortable and well made.sound is clean and warm but not boomy.
I enjoyed it and it can defeat even more expensive cans.
Highly recommended.
