Tidal Lossless Streaming
Same here, I'm pretty sure the problem is ISP side. Tidal streams perfectly on T-Mobile LTE but hangs on a 300mbit TWC connection. Oh well, I got 3 months of Google Play unlimited for $3 to hold me over. -
Car audio solution - Note 3 to DAC (HRT - MUSIC STREAMER II?) to Clarion EQ to amps.. Best power solution?
Are you concerned at all about display degradation? I hear leaving stationary images on AMOLED displays causes degradation.- XxATOLxX

NY /Regional Fall meet, November 9th, 2013 impressions
A big thanks to the organizers yesterday, it was another awesome meet. Also, thank you to the person who got the pizzas. Quote: The little green USB DAC/Amplifier that Ken had set up. Its an amazing little device, it drove 2 300ohm headphones at the same time with ease.- XxATOLxX

Which Android Music player do you use?
I really like Shuttle, it has a beautiful and clean interface. I can't comment on the EQ quality because I keep it flat and I also can't tell the difference in sound quality between Neutron, Poweramp, Winamp, Samsung, and Jetaudio. ...- XxATOLxX

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (24-bit/192KHz)
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/10/31/kitkat-feature-spotlight-audio-tunneling-to-dsp-dramatically-reduces-battery-consumption-when-playing-audio/ I wonder if our devices are going to be affected by this update and how it will be affecting SQ, if at all. I believe this DSP is integrated into...- XxATOLxX

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (24-bit/192KHz)
I have an iPhone 5 next to me. The iPhone has ~1.1-1.5 clicks more volume than the Note at the top. (completely unscientific measurement method).- XxATOLxX

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (24-bit/192KHz)
Just got my Note 3 yesterday. As someone who has been using iOS since the very beginning (3 iPhones), I found Android confusing as all hell for the first few minutes I used it. Its unusual to go from a relatively closed operating system to something like Android. It took me a few hours to...- XxATOLxX

Can anyone comment on the SQ of the Note 3 compared to the iPhone 5? I'm on the brink of buying one next week.- XxATOLxX

LG G2 coming soon
Same here. Its was a tossup between the LG G2, Note 3, and Xperia Z1 for me. LG however just shot itself out of the running by not including expandable storage. Its such a massive blunder especially for a phone oriented towards Hi-Fi audio.- XxATOLxX

How do you justify the high cost of your audio gear?
I justify it by thinking how long I'm going to be using the thing. For example, I bought my Sennheiser HD580s for $150 6+ years ago and I still use it every day. I can't say the same thing about my other electronics like phones/computers. Also, because they're so good at just about everything...- XxATOLxX

Your street camera to carry everywhere?
Right now, I always have an iPhone 5 on me. Otherwise I carry around a Nikon D60 with a 35mm 1.8 or the 18-55VR kit lens. The problem with that is I have to actually plan on bringing the camera with me which causes too many missed photo opportunities. As of late I've been thinking of...- XxATOLxX

LG G2 with native 24/192 music playback
I'm not too sure about the button placement on the back of the device. It seems like you'd end up hitting the power button or volume rocker every time you brush your leg against something. If that ends up being a non-issue, this phone does look promising. Maybe we'll see some dedicated...- XxATOLxX

CD Production To Stop By The End of 2012 - Thank You Apple and Others For Destroying Music and It's Reproduction, As We Know It
Good riddance, I've stopped caring about CDs for years now. They get scratched, lost, etc. Digital can be made bit perfect and can be easily backed up/copied and is just flat out easier to manage. Personally, I can't even tell the difference between a MP3 VBR and a FLAC.- XxATOLxX

Beginning a New Apartment (Recommend some gear!)
If you're looking for pure clarity, studio monitors are the way to go. Go to the Guitar Center at Town Square, they have a pretty big selection of monitors to play around with. (PS, check online prices first, they price match.)- XxATOLxX
