I was wondering because I plan to do this with my iPad, but also because of curiosity. Does it get reprocessed or does it just makes it sound more towards what the down the line DAC's signature sounds like? Will it destroy some of the sound in any way?

Both have very similar functionalities but I just want to know which one handles audio the best.

Does this SRS Premium Sound do the same thing as the Beats Audio driver as in change the sound signature and nothing at all besides that? I've been messing with it and I can kinda-sorta make it so it matches the signature of ASIO4All but I'm not too sure if it is improving the sound or not.

I have it run out of my laptop with foobar + asio and the thing distorts on the low end spectrum when it is turned up to even a decent volume. That doesn't happen with my regular headphone out jack out of my laptop. Does the USB out of my laptop have bad signal or is the thing broken?

I was thinking of upgrading from my humble Fiio e7 setup and is wondering if it is better to buy a e9 or a total bithead and sell the e7? I currently own a Sennheiser HD598. If anybody can tell me which combo can make the Senns sound better it would be great.

Sometimes I want to have these as a speaker since I don't have any for convenience. Do you think this is safe for the headphones? Will they wear down faster and shorten it's lifespan? Usually do it 30 min or so if I do use them like that.
