Most likely electrical noise from the laptop. I'm using SE in that scenario and not sure if using balanced will lessen the issue. And it might be that particular USB C port that's very noisy as I haven't tried the other USB A ports. That ifi is not a dongle nor an amp. It's a USB purifier...

Can you use the RU6 as a line-out, DAC-only device to connect to other amps without double amping? I'm guessing you cant with the 4.4 since an op-amp is involved but how about the 3.5?

I usually charge with the device turned off. And no, it doesn't bypass the set charge limit. Sometimes it overshoots by 1-2% but it happens as well even when it's turned on. i think the charging logic is still there as my charging times still get slower when the weather is hot.

@FiiO Found an issue regarding MQA playback Basically when using 4.4 PO, if 3.5 is set to SPDIF, it seems to not unpack MQA. When 3.5 is set to PO / LO it unpacks the MQA file. I hope when engineers take a look at this issue, the occasional jittery playback (especially for unpacked MQA playback)...
