    Unveiled: Meet the HD 620S

It is glued on, and people using wax or other stuff in their hair style, might accelerate the cushions degradation.

    Unveiled: Meet the HD 620S

I own a Sennheiser Game One since 2016 which has also a HD5xx chassis, changed the earpads once and have zero issues with the headband cushion. And if I need to change it, I can do that with little effort. I do not sesne a problem here. On the bass my understanding is that the HD620s has more...

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk

There is no dip, all frequencies are exactly how the Sennheiser Wizzards planned them to be.

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk

Even though I never had a listen on the ie600, I would go for the IE900 if you can afford it. To me it is perfect from bass to treble. I got mine at release and I am always eager to put them on ever since the first day.

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk

I like the earhooks, have zero complaints about them. But the sound is even more to my liking.

I run them like all my headphones from the Sony NW-WM1A. I cannot call the DAP underpowered. High gain 78% volume. But depending on the condition your ears are in ymmv.

You might want to check out Forzaaudio Noir Hybrid HPC, it is a bit more expensive, but very well made. I have it since the HD660S came out. I love the cable.

Sennheiser HD 490 Pro Plus coming?

I can agree with you on the build quality of the DT1990 pro. But they have two gripes for me, the round earcups are to small for my ears and they sound to uneven compared to the HD6XX series.

I run it from my Sony WM-1A. pPerfect match. Balanced 4.4mm out.

Sennheiser HD 490 Pro Plus coming?

Hi Rob, interesting to read for me. I still hold on to my HD660S2. That headphone in contrast did completely meet my preference without any further open demands. I only could use a closed Sennheiser in that ballpark. But maybe it will be a HD820S some day for me. Need to sell the Sony Z1R or...

The temperament is in the music, not in the listening chain. If you like it hot, what about a Beyerdynamic T1 first gen? Ringing ears for free....

    Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread

To me the HD660S2 is the best over ear headphone that I ever bought. I can listen for hours to all my music genres without ever thinking about making it sound like any other headphone, exchanging pads or cables. Yesterday I listened to Nils Wülkers last album and found that the HD660S2 does...

    Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread

If you compare to an IEM with a 10dB bass elevation, the bass on all HD headphones is very subtle, or if that is your gold standard, non existing, lol. But that is ok, it all comes down to personal taste. The bass of my Sennheiser IE900 looks quite similar to your MEST MK II, but I can enjoy the...

For gaming I use the Dolby Atmos plugin for Windows. This works with any dac/amp and any headphone. Turns the headphone into a sorround system. In some games you even get Atmos like sound from above and below.

    Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread

I always need some time to equalize my hearing system to any different headphone. So going from the HD660S2 to my HD800 always takes some time. And after this time passed, the bass on the HD800 is very good with most of my music. My only gripe with the HD800 is that I find it far less...

    Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread

Oh that one is still around, but rarely used. It is not as balanced over all as the HD650 to HD660S2 family. And that one is really toasty oh boy... due to this it is more a wintertime fun headphone.

    Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread

Sure they do not match the bass of my very large subwoofer in my living room cinema system. But they improve enough to be excellent at all my music preferences. Plus they are light, comfortable and do not break the bank.

    Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread

Again you state that the pads of the HD660S2 are toasty. I wore them in 41 degrees celsius for a very long time without any problems. But in a dry climate. In central Europe.

    Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread

I asked Jermo from Sennheiser after the HD660S2 was released if it was worth waiting for a new closed HD6XX headphone and he wrote: Yes.
