MV1 with S12SB1 is great. On the.MDR1AM2 it didn't do much for me. Had this cable lying around for years without much use! Big step up from the 1AM2 balanced cable, in detail retrieval especially:)

My IER M9 is in continuous use with the ZX707 when I travel as I do now. About time I check out the ZX707/ MV1 combo and will do so when I get home later this week. Thank you for reminding me.. Curious to this pairing myself now as well:)

You don't have to for it to still benefit from the effect it has on Music player app playback together with using the Headphone app:)

I have a Samsung Evo as well but prefer Sandisk Extreme Pro and Swissbit over it, last one being the favourite. To me, the Samsung card sounds less dynamic and a bit flat..:)

Great synergy of the MV1 with walkman ZM2. The spatial effect is very addictive:)

Without a reboot after changing language. Tried the reboot as well, but again to no effect on the WMZ.

I notice the difference between JP and EN language immediately on my ZX707. No difference however on the WM1ZM2 that I can hear..

I have both the 1AM2 and MUC-S12SB1 Kimber balanced cables. The latter being my favourite. Balanced is the way to go with the MV1 seems to be the common consensus, never tried the single ended cable included. It's a crime Sony doesn't include a balanced cable with it. Still in the early stages...

Sony, Honda and to a lesser extend Japanese watches make me a firm believer in the quality of Japanese tech. My Honda S2000 I will never let go off. Always build with a kind of ''keep it simple in design but make it excellent' philosophy. Possibly also therefore very suitable and easy to tweak...

The MDR-MV1 became more 'fun' with the Swissbit. It gives it the push it needed to increase it's dynamic character. Also the sense of space/holography now is very addictive.

It's suprising the amount of tweaking that can be done to extract more and more out my Sony gear. The Swissbit increases the dynamics, detail and provides an overall more pleasant tonality compared to the Sandisk Extreme. Must be a Japanese thing as it reminds me of what I did with my Honda's...

Well to me there is. And I am not alone in that opinion. Regarding the WM1ZM2 however no difference that I can hear, again, unlike some others in the AM2/ZM2 thread:)

Possible. I find it also likely that the developers had a single universal sound signature in mind for their flagship player WM1ZM2, purposely not catering for regional taste differences.

On my WM1Z in the past, changing the region code via a software tool, would change sound signature to cater for local taste diifferences. Seems something similar is going on here when changing language, at least I do notice it myself with my gear.

No change in sound signature that I can hear when changing language on my 1ZM2. On my ZX707 however I can notice a clear difference and a play interrupt when changing. Much prefer the JP language sound signature:)

Only have the ZX at hand now. I can confirm this works on the ZX707 as well! Japanese language selected changes the sound signature in a good way:)

My ZM2 serial number, bought new last December, is ending at a figure very close to 3000. Went all out on a shopping spree at E earphone, Akiba:)

I am still delaying my update to FW 1.08 on my 1ZM2. Happy with 1.07 now. Don't wanna potentially spoil that considering how big a change it seems to be, for some here at least?:)

Low gain better indeed for my ZM2+M9. The Z1R however I like on high gain. My ZX707 remains, for all my gear, on high gain.

Sony is pushing this HRTF/360RA: I noticed a new settings tab: '360 Reality Audio' present now under Sound Adjustment in the Sound Settings which wasn't available in the previous firmware. It states hearing profile info and type of Sony headphones/IEM selected.
