Yeah the new connector is definitely interesting. Curious as to the strength of the magnets. Rather have them go overkill on strength to make sure they don't fall out too easily. Also curious how the custom cable situation will respond.   Is the 6ft cable confirmed yet?, btw. I hope so. I mean...

I would hope it is at least competitive with the HE-560. If it is a close fight I wouild probably go for the EL-8's as they look way better on the head IMO and are more flexible.

Agreed. In a few months Ill be deciding between this and the HE-560.

All black would be too boring IMO. I think Silver trim would look nice and classy.    @mikemercer Did Audeze give you a choice between the dark and light wood veneer? or give any info as to how that will work?

Yeah 4ft is kinda short. I would rarely use these as portable headphones.

I think the EL-8's look pretty darn good. I personally like the dark veneer. Brushed metal MAY be nice IMO but wood seems more like Audeze to me.

I got my CX from the massdrop buy a few weeks ago and love it so far with DT800's 600 ohm (10-ohm model). Soo quiet and clear. I'll try to test it with some lower impedance cans and IEMs to see about that. 

Yeah, quality headphones (especially those costing over $1000) should be made to last a LONG time when treated properly.   Don't know how to feel about this.

lol I don't know if I would ever consider subscribing to something owned by JayZ.     I could see Spotify charging more for lossless in the future.
