Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
So I got a new pair of HD 650's to replace my now 15? 20? year old pair. Amazingly they survived the journey to me in spite of the fact that the (outer) box looks like it got slammed in the UPS truck door. So far sounding very similar to my old pair but we all know how that goes. Audio memory...- MisterMoJo

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
I started my journey with the 650 too. I am re-discovering what I have been missing for years listening to other cans. Some more expensive. These are better. I never really properly amped them so I am listening to them for the first time today really.- MisterMoJo

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
My source chain is my pc (JRiver)(USB) > Topping D90 III Sabre (Balanced out) > iFi iCan Pro Signature (Balanced). Currently listening to the 650 and don't think I could give up these mids so that answers that lol. Maybe I should just sit tight. Then again.......- MisterMoJo

HiFiMan Susvara
Would my iFi Pro iCan Signature drive the Susvara? And would I be happy with it? It's my most powerful amp. And it is very powerful: 14,000 mW into 16 Ohms balanced.- MisterMoJo

Stax L700MkII and D50 ... sounds bad....
Try foobar. It's free. And set the volume in windows to 100 and change the volume with the amp. Also ASIO sucks try WASAPI (Exclusive). https://www.foobar2000.org/- MisterMoJo

HD800S-> Where do I go from here?
As far as focusing on one genre to get right it would have to be classical. It has to be a fast headphone with great imaging. Wondering if the Utopia which has come up a couple times here would fit the bill?- MisterMoJo

HD800S-> Where do I go from here?
Mainly the LCD series from Audeze, the 2, 4, and 5. All of which I own and like to some degree but not as much as the Senns. I have also heard the Fostex TH-900 and some of the old Denon series of headphones. Those are good but don't offer the resolution I am looking for.- MisterMoJo

HD800S-> Where do I go from here?
I really enjoy my HD800S with the WA2 I own. I listen to mostly classical type soundtracks and classic rock. Sometimes rap. Just for the sake of argument, if I were to upgrade, what would be my path? I would be looking for totl headphones with outstanding detail and good bass. I would...- MisterMoJo
