Is the Senn HD650 over-bright and sibilant? Some seem to think so.
I used to own both version of hd650. They are far from " bright and sibilant" compared to Grado Gs1000.- freakmax

New to fullsized Cans. Some advice on laptop/computer use?
I think you should go for Grado SR60. Great sounding headphone for the price. But SR60s are open headphone so they will not block the noise like IEMs.- freakmax

Yes, Another Grado Thread....
If you are looking for some Grado's,only get these three and forget about everthing else. SR60 RS1 PS1000 Thery are the best of their serie. SR225 are good but believe me go for RS1 and you wont regret. PS1000 are also good if you have cash and really like Grado, but...- freakmax

Lehmann Audio Black Cube + Grado PS1000?
PS1000+ BCL is a nice combo. I prefer BCL to Earmax SE when paring with PS1000.Maybe PS1000 is better with solid stage amp. PS1000 and Earmax SE combo is kind of too bassy for my taste but it's not bad at all.- freakmax

Denon d7000 / d5000+akg701
Get D7000 and when you have money get K702. There are a lot of nice headphones such as Grado,AudioTechnica,Sennheiser. It would be good if you can find a place to audition them.- freakmax

Scary moments you've had in Head-Fi
When I received the headphone bought here in FS forum and I found out that the right channel had lower volume than the left. I returned them and lost $200 for the deal.- freakmax

Headphones for a Mac
Apogee Duet Dac section is not bad at all. I've owned Lavry DA10,Grace M902 ,Stello DA100 and The Duet is in the same leauge. Right now I have Ayre QB9 and I have to say QB9 is much better overall but considering Duet's price ,its not a waste of money at all. Quote:- freakmax
