I too have been looking at the srh1540's. At this price point, to about $650, what are the best candidates? They should be closed back, and have a similar sound signature, with more treble presence.- DocVS

DAC/Amp combo for iphone
I would like one for under $300 . For the purpose of eventually getting higher bitrate music on my iPhone 5s, I would prefer a non-micro usb cable connection. It would plug into a camera connector, which only accepts normal usb, I believe.- DocVS

Looking amp etc. for
I am looking to get the most out of my current setup. I have shure srh1540's on their way and just an iPhone 5s. Will just the iPhone be able to drive the headphones? What should I get as far as portable amplification etc. to get the most out of my setup for under $200- DocVS

Need for new Over-ears under $500
I am also looking for some other source, right now I only am using an iPhone. What to you suggest for a higher quality audio source? I have a budget for new headphones and ahigher quality set up of about $900 It would need to be portable.- DocVS

okay. Sorry if my terminology isnt up to snuff! So the Dn1000's are dynamic driver iems. I didn't like that sometimes in classical peices it would get kind of fuzzy. They also had some extra bass, which I liked. Umm... The bass wasnt as tight as or responsive as I would of liked. I like a...- DocVS
