Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics
Thanks all, I'm good on the firmware now, but I think I need the DFU utility. I've got everything now. You all are great!- ardgedee

Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics
For now I think I only need the main board firmware and the DFU, since the display is about the only thing that seems to work.- ardgedee

Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics
Can anybody PM me a copy of the 2v0 or later firmware for the Pulse X Infinity? My DAC no longer works, the firmware is not available on LH Lab's support site, and I've had a service ticket open for literally a year waiting for a response.- ardgedee

OFFICIAL: 2017 North Carolina Meet
I don't have any contacts personally, but maybe get in touch with Gorilla Ears. They're in Greenville so it wouldn't be a major trip for them. Some of the RDU-area retailers might be worth reaching out to as well, like Moon Audio. I don't know if Night & Day Audio is still active (can't find...- ardgedee

OFFICIAL: 2017 North Carolina Meet
Any date in the new range works for me. Not (currently) planning on a guest. Will bring Geek Pulse, McIntosh MAC 4100 receiver, and Koss ESP-950 headphones. Probably other stuff too but those for certain.- ardgedee

KOSS ESP-950 Thread
I've mentioned in this thread before: I'm happy with mine. It's reasonably transparent, which means you still need a good amplifier behind it. One of the best headphone rigs I've ever heard was a Moth -> WEE -> HiFiMan Jade, which gives me confidence that if I scale up my system, the WEE can...- ardgedee

Anything happening in North or South Carolina?
I'm in Durham and up for a meetup. I can drive a carpool if it happens outside the Triangle.- ardgedee

KOSS ESP-950 Thread
It works very well through the WEE (with the appropriate adaptor of course). I haven't bothered returning to the E/90, although I might unpack it this summer for when the listening room/office gets hot and the big muscular amp driving the WEE gets the office even hotter.- ardgedee

KOSS ESP-950 Thread
That seems excessive since Moon Audio sell the combination for around $15 plus shipping. Surplus dealers are listing the connector alone (without shell) for $5-10.- ardgedee

Interesting. Is that a legitimate Stax connector or an Amphenol? (eg, Moon Audio sells the Amphenol plug)- ardgedee

There should be an extension cable packed with the ESP-950. If not, you can order one from Koss cheap-ish. Hack that up for your adaptor.- ardgedee

KOSS ESP-950 Thread
"Bewildering"? Why fix what ain't broke? I have mixed feelings about the whole ESP 950 package. I'd just as soon Koss continue the status quo of pairing an underperforming amp with overperforming headphones, if they want to meet a price point. The headphones can be used with other devices...- ardgedee
