That's my headphones, just had my ZxR die on me before after my computer hard rebooting. What would be the BEST current option for gaming and overall sound quality for such, and I've never tried but how does that DAC and amp stuff work and would that be a viable route or no for gaming?
 
Any suggestions on what to get would be much appreciated, luckily my onboard audio is working so it wasn't my motherboard dying out.

How about getting another Sound Blaster ZxR?
 
Or getting the cheaper Sound blaster Z and an external DAC (optical input) and external headphone amplifier.
 
How much are you willing to budget for audio?
