Sounds awesome! I look forward to hear about your experiments! The Thick pads are the most comfortable pads with the Caldera but they reduce the mids a bit too much for my liking, but since the mids can sometimes be a bit too forward with the Atrium Open Thick Ultra Perforated pads could be amazing with them!

I purchased a pair of AOs in Redheart ant Canjam Dallas. Zach put the Caldera Perf Pads on them and provided an Auteur set of pads. I have yet to listen the Auteur pads. A little more burn in before I try them out, but after reading the pad reviews posted by Heliosphann, it is likely I stick with the Caldera pads.

I listen to my Atriums on my Burson Soloist and Monolith Liquid Platinum Amp/DAC. Plenty of power on both.

I too have a Burson Soloist and think there is plenty of oomph. That being said, I'd really like to try and OTL tube amp sometime to see what differences I hear on the Atrium.

Lifegoal achieved. Didnt expect to get it considering to me it was one of the most fun units this stabilised run.
Quite a long time I been so excited about a purchase.

The Atrium has the larger, wider, and more 3D stage. The Atrium is smoother in the upper mids and treble. The Atrium has more mid bass quantity, but both have good mid bass quality. The Atrium has more sub bass. They’re both built well but the Atrium is gorgeous as well as functional. They both have great imaging, but the Atrium uses a larger canvas.

There’s something about Focal with their treble tuning that I just don’t like on any of their models. The FR would have you believe the Clear MG is pretty smooth but it sounds sharper to me than any ZMF. I think what a graph can’t really convey is the quality of the treble. Of course YMMV.

Congrats! I've become kind of obsessed with the ZMF sound and look lately. Got this set today! Absolutely love the sand/water mix of this headphone and already know I love the Atrium sound.

Sometimes you come across a song in media and have to pause what you're doing and look it up. Anyways listened to this one on all of my headphones and the added bass impact and thicker presentation of the Atriums makes it my favorite for this song. Always nice to have different headphone presentations, even on a per song basis, genre aside.
