I agree with you

I have one in cocobolo coming and I'm really excited
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! The cocobolo is a gorgeous wood. Also full agree with you guys. The grill is the prettiest of ZMF. Honestly the Atrium is ZMFs prettiest headphone in my opinion.

Yes, I bought VC in November but have never heard Atrium, so my first experience with them.

No, no Yggy yet. I went for the Weiss 501 Mk II, but it wasn't for me so I'm back on the DAC hunt. Using a new Ares 12th as an emergency DAC until I decide what to go for next.
As other said Spring 3 and bless sound good with it. I use mine (well soon to be formerly my cocobolo) on the Bakoon 13r and it pairs really well with that amp too. Of course you don't need that expensive of an amp for it to shine.
Depending on your preference/tastes you may prefer the VC over the Atrium. Atrium is more a laid back headphone compared to the VC. I prefer the Atrium but if you want a more engaging in a it wants more of your attention type of sound you may prefer the VC. Both are great overall for sure.

Yeah, when the Redheart was delivered I opened the box and just stared at them for more than a few minutes. Then I snapped out of it and remembered I actually need to put them on my head to use them.

The Redheart Atrium is super gorgeous after all. One of the best looking headphones I have ever saw. I have the redwood Caldera but I almost wish I got the redwood Atrium Instead.

I only have three versions:
  1. The original CD
  2. The gold disc Mobile Fidelity version
  3. The Experience Edition
I just ordered the live Wembley version, so soon there will be four in my collection. I'm debating whether to add the 50th anniversary remastered download. Is it really better or just brighter-sounding, as modern remasters often tend to be?
For those interested there will be a SACD 5.1 release of the 50th anniversary as an import from Japan for $45 with a bunch of extra goodies. After shipping $100 to the US.

Release date on the 19th. I'm thinking about it.

Is there a vacuum tube amplifier under $400 that fits well with atrium?
BHC -- mine's upgraded w/ Speedball, so more than $400, but un-modded BHC will also play very well w/ dynamic driver ZMFs.

Initial impressions are incredibly favourable; I've been sat smiling most of the evening! The bass particularly was a surprise, impactful and powerful. Very happy! 😊

It's a product that I have to assemble.. I think it's going to be a little hard

these often come up for sale on head-fi, and there is a builder on ebay who builds and sells them. May result in some premium, though used are rather affordable as far as I've seen. I'm not an owner myself
