Me too. After a few tracks I realized this was intentional. It is consistent with my overall experience of the Atrium as lush and organic with a relaxed presentation within a wider soundstage full of rich decay, vs. a highly resolving, fast hitting presentation of the Caldera which offers more upfront clarity.

Yes, the mid-bass punch is amazing with the Auteur lambskin pads. But to my ears, the biggest changes are the slightly reduced upper-mids (which help a lot to calm down the peaks) and the improvement with the 3Dness of the soundstage.

I just joined the Atrium family but still need an appropirate amp, my current SS FA-10 makes Atrium sounds not that great.

I noticed that you have some of the entry level OTL tube amp, such as Bottlehead Crack and Schiit Valhalla. I am wondering which one you think is the best without sacrifice too much compared to the more expensive choice?

Also I am debating between WA6 and Feliks Audio Echo Mk2, however, WA6 is not OTL, do you like it with Atrium?

The Hagerman Tuba tube amp occasionally pops up used in the 5-600ish range and is a killer amp for ZMFs. I love the Atrium on it even more so than some of my more expensive amps. The synergy is excellent.
