I think when the language conveys how much a person is enjoying what they are experiencing that's a valuable insight in and of itself.
Thank you. Appreciate that.

But I do adore the colour tone variation.

Very cool how those white patches align both sides with the gimbal connecting to the cups ❤️

All these other Cocos have me on the edge of my seat, wondering what mine will look like.

As much as the other options look nice, every time I see a set like @Knee Deep In Epoxy's, my choice of Aged Copper for my grills is re-confirmed.

It's really cool how @zach915m gets different flavors of beautiful out of the same wood!

Beautiful!

Is that a sideways Tor Audio amp? Seen a few around but never heard one.

Either way, enjoy!

LTD Atrium Cocobolo is here! 😄🥲:987F2D90-5BED-44DC-B71E-5B8E65F4224C.jpeg
Glad to see I'm not the only one who can't make it out of the parking lot before checking them out and taking pictures. Another work of art!

Yes, it's a Tor Balanced. I've not yet tried it with the Atrium yet. I'm enjoying the Atrium on solid state first to really absorb its sound signature before I move on to tubes. Trying to savour the journey.

Today a friend who thinks isnt worth to spend money on hifi and is happy with his 100€ gaming headphones came to my home. I let him to try the Atrium and listened power metal (his preference) comparing HD58X and Atrium, I did not tell the price, just hey try my old and new headphones. He took 5s in each song to notice the difference. I cannot describe his face when using the Atrium, but he was saying never before heared something like this, the headphones are from another world, etc, I could feel how he was enjoying.

Haha I’m doing the same thing. I still haven’t powered up my BHC and I’m loving every minute of this. I also have 3 sets of pads I have yet to try. But it’s no rush, might as well enjoy the journey!

What's peoples opinion on Bottlehead Crack, to use OG build or speedball add-on?
I personally really disliked the BHC OG. I was not impressed and it sounded hazy and lacking in detail. I just could not get into it. After adding in speedball it had so much better clarity, almost like a SS but with the sound signature of tubes. I was sold and even bought a small table for it in my office so I could use it while working. Your mileage may vary of course, I have heard of some people loving the OG.

Bottlehead makes awesome stuff. @DenverW knows more about their amps than anyone else I know on head-fi. He has built them and has owned them all. I also bought a Mainline from him. I loved it. My only issue was that it wasn't super powerful, and even with high impedance headphones like ZMF that are pretty easy to power, I was always in the bottom 1/3rd of the volume pot which made me uncomfortable. But, sound wise Bottlehead makes amazing amps. I also listen pretty loud as I have scar tissue on my ear drums which makes it hard for me to deal with ambient noise. It doesn't sound loud to me, but to others it will. My wife thinks I am insane to listen as loudly as I do. It isn't for me.

Whoa whoa! Those are nice words, but I certainly wouldn’t list myself as high as clever people like Wes or Jonathan. The OG crack has a very tubey euphoric sound which can be preferred, especially depending on your system. Speedball adds clarity and control, which a lot of people like. I had the same issue with the mainline as Geoff; it was excellent sounding but a bit under what some hungry planars like the he6se need. I actually preferred the crackatwoa to the mainline overall, especially with upgraded caps. But all of the Bottlehead amps really pair well with every zmf I’ve used them with (Aeolus, auteur, Atticus, eikon). I assume the atrium is no different.
