Customs decided to let them go finally
YesAre you a hired mafia thug, or just have eclectic taste in bottle openers?
The orientation of the grill is causing the OCD in me to rise up though...Love the grill design
Killer, enjoy. I always wanted to listen to one of Donald's amps.Love the grill design
How so? I've noticed and they all seem to be deliberately designed the same way. The top part of the diamond/sqaureish/star-ish-shape at the center of the grille is perpendicular to the headband. So that it's more like an X with the Atrium... branches flowing outwards. The orientation of the grill is causing the OCD in me to rise up though...
Aged Cherry with Aged copper, Aluminium chassis = 570g on the scale
When you need a tube amp that will fit in the headphone case. Schiit coaster amp does a respectable job of driving these cans. Soundstage slightly less than the BHC. Low end is a little lacking but still capable of tube warmth in a very small package.
Stock cherry with magnesium chassis come in at 478 grams.
Neither aligned to the top pin nor the bottom jack. I understand the design aesthetics, but my eye is drawn to the top and bottom right away and not to the headband fixtures at the side, which aren't as prominent. How so? For 570g they don’t feel heavy at all. They are most comfortable of my 4 ZMFs. The others are Blackwood VC w/magnesium chassis, Bocote Auteur w/aluminum chassis and Bubinga Aoleus w/aluminum chassis.Aged Cherry with Aged copper, Aluminium chassis = 570g on the scale
Beautiful setup!Love the grill design

Just my OCD... If one could just pry free the grille and re-orientate them...?

To be honest, I think all of us already worry about how much sleep you get!The grille's are not oriented towards the jack or the rods because we want the grille point to be perpendicular in a diamond shape when you're wearing them. So you can think of the orientation to be "corrected" so that when they are worn they look like a diamond VS off-set when wearing and oriented towards the jack. Don't worry - we lose sleep at night thinking over these details.
hahah-- but why sleep when you can headphone?!To be honest, I think all of us already worry about how much sleep you get!
Also @BooUrns in no way asked me to write that...

The MiniDSP ears are great for correlating personal preferences from the 100 Hz to 2000 Hz or so area, because you can measure your own collection and find what you do or don't and do like easily in a correlative fashion! MiniDSP has made that achievable really easily and is awesome! At some point I'm going to do a video showing the differences and use of the MiniDSP vs the more ridiculously expensive stuff just for fun.I received a MiniDSP Ears today, if anyone is interested in me trying my amateur butt at getting some FR graphs.
