Forgive my terrible photos but my set of Resin Stab Atrium arrived today to join my Aeolus Mango and Verite Closed Stabs! They are so beautiful in person. T_T atrium2.jpgatrium3.jpgatrium1.jpg

So I got my second pair of Atriums about eight hours ago and have had them on my ears for about six of them, I guess they are as addictive as I remember them. I had sold my Bubingas that I got on launch day after I purchased these during ZMF November which was only a couple weeks ago but felt like an eternity to be without them. So when I put them back, it was like being wrapped in a cozy warm blanket on a cold winter morning with a hot chocolate.

For the majority of the year, I had been listening to Atriums so when I got OG Utopia and 1266 TC recently, I had the new toy syndrome and I was hearing all this detail and bass and I was sad that my beloved Atriums had been dethroned but I was so wrong. If I have learned anything in last 6 hours, it is how easy Atriums make it to get lost in music without thinking about where to look for the imaging and stage and bass and what test tracks to choose next to see where they excel because they just make everything sound so natural and enjoyable.

With Atriums, I just put on some old familiar music so I can just get lost in it, sometimes get up and even shake a leg and other times marvel at how crunchy the electric guitars are and how natural every pluck of the bass guitar sounds. Every song is like eating mac n cheese and then grilled cheese and the next comfort food and so on. That analog sound is just so addicting and makes these headphones a real pleasure and joy.

I took possession of my Macassar Atrium today and man is it a beefy boy compared to my KOA set! My neck muscles will thank me after a few months of wearing the Macassar!

I have the Atrium in Macassar Ebony and I absolutely adore them (I go them right off the press at CanJam Chicago, I think it was the first one; picture from that moment below:))

I had the first impressions of weight as you do now, but found that the weight distribution of the Atrium is so great, it is actually one of my most comfortable headphones I have. You will get used to it very quickly and won't notice them (just make sure to adjust the headband and clamp to your liking, they are built for that, and taking a minute to make it work for your head type will pay big dividends in comfort)

Enjoy!!!

Excellent! So well put, in that there are none of the usual hifi review words.
Instead, I quote from you:
natural enjoyable natural analog addicting pleasure joy.

I love it as to me, the best hifi does not sound like hifi and instead gets the reaction you describe.
Well done you; well done ZMF.

It’s here!!! So happy to be reunited with my Atrium again. I had recently sold my Bubingas to go for the #128 and was so worried that I might have made a mistake but ZMF never disappoints. This is a real beauty

Among all Purple-ish ZMF, this could be the most beautiful (and nicely complex) design I ever seen! Congrats!

I too will be coming into possession of a set of Atriums. Just doing some research on pad rolling. Wondering if anyone's had the opportunity to test the Caldera pads yet? I saw back in Oct or so, Zach's said of his preliminary tests they'd be quite good on the Atriums...
