Ok, i've just disabled Java applets in my browsers, disabled Java in Win7 and even disabled Javascript (read below) purely out of frustration. http://www.deependresearch.org/2012/08/java-7-0-day-vulnerability-information.html For the uber-geeks out there, I know that Java and Javascript have nothing to do with one another, but I had higher hopes for Java security - Javascript was a hack from day one. I'm off to run Malwarebytes etc - good luck,

Yea... I regularly visit a hacker forum (for learning/protection purposes rather than actual hacking) and I heard about this a few days ago. I actually came here to post a thread and saw this one already made.
I have yet to get a virus and I never use anti-viruses and such (since I know about viruses in the first place I know what to look for) but it's so easy for a rootkit or such to be installed through this new 0 day >.>
