Now to start off I've heard great things about the zero dac/amp which is why I originally purchased it. With a Darkvoice 3322 on the way for my HD650's, I'm wondering whether the dac inside the zero will be the "weak link in my chain" or whether the dac isn't a huge deal in a system. Also note I have an upgraded hdam earth and am feeding the zero via digital coaxial out from my x-fi extreme music. Thanks

The source is VERY important in any setup. Your amp cannot improve what it doesnt receive from the DAC. It will definitely be the weakest link in your system. Not to say it will sound bad, but you will get a definite improvement if you upgrade
