Hi,

I have a creative zen micro 4gb but it is currently not working, I can recharge it, but if I try to open it the player freezes on the creative logo. The help on creative.com says to format the drive from the pre-logo menu but my player freezes on the "Formating..." step.

Anyone knows any way to fix it?

Well if anyone is ever interested (if someone uses the search function and finds this thread):

The problem is with the hard drive apparently, the 2 most common solutions are:

1) Hitting the player a few times on a hard surface.

2) Returning the player to creative (expensive outside of warranty)

And I'm about to try replacing the hard drive by a flashcard type II if I can find a cheap one at the store (even 2gb is fine for a backup player imo)

Lemme know if you figure something out. My Mom got a Zen Micro from a friend and it does the same thing, IIRC.

Well right now my zen is pretty much already into pieces and I'm going to the store later tonight to get a similar flash drive..
