Has anyone tried the Zelco Outi vibration phones?

I had a quick search and couldnt see any actual impressions here.

Never heard of them before today; the local Big Lots store has them for ~$15 so I'll probably try a pair.

Jeez, those look incredibly uncomfortable. What exactly is the point of vibrating your outer ear? I feel deep bass and subsonics from my subwoofer in my gut, not the back of my ear.
