hope this is the proper forum to post this sort of question.. 
 
I have a DA8 since today ! Very nice DAC !

I have a question concerning the volume. At -60db (volume control all the way down), I can still hear music from the speakers. Is there a way to mute the output completely ? The DA8 is connected directly to a Hypex UcD180HG amplifier (specs herehttp://www.hypex.nl/docs/UcD180400_manual.pdf).

Hi, is it possible you have an input sensibility too low?
The DA8 hasn't a "mute". You can use this hint: choose another input on the DA8...

Pioneer N-50 - coax digital - Yulong DA8 - Hypex UcD180HG - Kef LS50

If the Yulong has hight output for your amp you can try attenuators like these: http://www.rothwellaudioproducts.co.uk/html/hi-fi.html
