There's no way I could list 10, but there would be some Alison Krauss, Rush, and Fleetwood Mac in there somewhere.

However I can say, without any reservations, my favorite is Lateralus. Well, Operation: LIVEcrime may be my 2nd, maybe.

Ozric Tentacles - The Hidden Step (This is *the* space rock album. Perfectly crafted with trippy synths and swirling guitar. I can't remember how many times I've listened to this album. Take the hidden step.)

Steve Roach - Mystic Chords & Sacred Spaces (Steve Roach is a genious of ambient. This is probably his magnus opus. An overwhelming experience of light and dark.)

Harold Budd - Avalon Sutra (A hybrid of modern classical and ambient. As melancholic as it gets.)

Jefferson Airplane - Crown Of Creation (Very nice feel-good music.)

Ishq - Orchid (Quite nice when cooking food  Very soothing and ethereal.)

Thomas Köner - Nuuk (Arctic ambient with low pulsating bass. Soundscapes from another world.)

Vince Watson - Moments In Time (Techno with multi-layered melodies.)

Rhythm & Sound - See Mi Yah (A strange cross-breed of reggae vocals and dubby and minimalistic beats. Reggae-techno.)

Gong - Angel's Egg (Space rock from 1973.)

Kraftwerk - Die Mensch-Maschine (Electro-pop innovators. Classic from 1978.)

You can never squeeze such a List down to 10 without UNJUSTICE to MANY....so there is no List of Top 10.....You can may be do it with a time window...like Months top 10 or
Years top albums....like The Wire Rewind kind of stuff...but there can be no top 10 list of all times.....In Art this is not possible, its a Non Sense(my opinion).
But few of my many top records are may be:

Steve Tibbetts - Fall of Us All (ECM)
Autechre - Chiastic Slide (Warp)
Tomasz Stanko Septet - Litania: Music of Krzysztof Komeda (ECM)
Wavelength Infinity, A Sun Ra Tribute - (Rastascan)
Paul Schutze - Second Site (Virgin)
David Sylvian & Robert Fripp - First Day (Virgin)
Robert Rich & Lustmord - Stalker (Hearts of Space)
Sheila Chandra - AboneCroneDrone (Real World)
-----
......
......
.....
List is very long :) and it covers diverse Genres
