Oh gosh, Mansun was friggin' great. The first two albums are dazzling complex in arrangement and concept. Little Kix was alright. Too bad they burnt out so fast. I gotta dig out my old CDs and EPs again.

Here goes, off the top of my head...

Willie Nelson - The Red-Headed Stranger
Norah Jones - Come Away With Me
David Grisman and Jerry Garcia - Shady Grove
Ravi Shankar and Phillip Glass - Passages
The Rolling Stones - Exile On Main Street
Steely Dan - Aja
Vishwa and Cooder - A Meeting By The River
Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense
John Coltrane - Impressions
Frank Zappa - Live At The Roxy And Elsewhere

I enjoy some of these not only for the great songwriting and musicianship, but also for how well-recorded they are. If you haven't heard the Willie Nelson record, please do so - it's terrific stuff.
