Another highly subjective poll, but one that I always feel tells a little about a person. I'll impose two rather difficult rules: (1) no more than one entry by any artist (I could fill the whole list with the Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd) and (2) no greatest hits (sorry Bob Marley's Legend).

Okay, in no particular order:

1. Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy
2. Pink Floyd - Meddle
3. Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
4. The Cure - Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me
5. Pixies - Doolittle
6. Damien Rice - O
7. Nirvana - Nevermind
8. Guns 'N Roses - Appetite for Destruction
9. Pearl Jam - Ten
10. The Who - Quadrophenia

1. My Arms, Your Hearse - Opeth
2. Requiem Mezzo Forte - Virgin Black
3. How to Measure a Planet? - The Gathering
4. Ashes Against the Grain - Agalloch
5. In Absentia - Porcupine Tree
6. Hope - Swallow the Sun
7. Awake - Dream Theater
8. Ten - Pearl Jam
9. Vol. 4 - Black Sabbath
10. No More Tears - Ozzy Osbourne

So, what can you tell about me?

5. "Real Gone" - Tom Waits

Neko Case - Fox Confessor Brings The Flood
Opeth - My Arms, Your Hearse
Draconian - Arcane Rain Fell
Nine Inch Nails - Still
Rasputina - How We Quit The Forest
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
Joanna Newsom - Ys
Portishead - Dummy
Trauma Pet - You Cannot Feel This

And as everyone else has said, in no particular order and subject to change.

This seems to be a mix of newer stuff that I've played and played and can't get sick of, as well as some stuff that has really stood the test of time. I could do a "Top 20" or "Top 30" with the same rules pretty easily

Uh, I listen to such a wide variety of genres and tend to listen to innumerable records during the period of only one month that it is really impossible for me to pick 10 favourite albums. But, here it goes, my flavour of the month (May) favourite albums.

This looks like fun. Let's see here...

In no particular order:

Peter Gabriel - UP
David Bowie - Outside
Massive Attack - Mezzanine
Porcupine Tree - In Absentia
Dream Theater - Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
Radiohead - OK Computer
Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
Tool - Ænima
The Cooper Temple Clause - Kick Up The Fire, And Let The Flames Break Loose
Amon Tobin - Permutation

I do want to add that Mirrored by Battles will soon climb to a very high point on my Top 10 in the coming months. The album is just plain SICK (by that I mean AWESOME)! I've also tried not to include any albums that have come out this year, which was hard considering some really good stuff has come out this year.

Wow, this is incredibly TOUGH!!
10 only? *gulp*
1 artist limit? *gulp* *gulp*

In chronological order:

The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway - Genesis - 1972
In A Glass House - Gentle Giant - 1973
Relayer - Yes - 1974
Permanent Waves - Rush - 1980
Hounds Of Love - Kate Bush - 1985
Lifes Rich Pageant - R.E.M. - 1986
Reading, Writing, Arithmetic - Sundays - 1989
Heaven Or Las Vegas - Cocteau Twins - 1990
Washing Machine - Sonic Youth - 1995
OK Computer - Radiohead - 1997

Without the 1 artist rule there'd be an additional album a piece for Rush and Genesis

But really, 10 is really much too hard. It doesn't tell enough about myself! No room for Soundgarden, Trans Am, Prince, The Smiths, Metallica, Godspeed You Black Emperor and more!

20 would have been more fair.
25????
