If you could take 3 headphones which each excel in either the bass, midrange and treble and put them together to make one perfect headphone. What 3 headphones would you choose?

Midrange of the ESW9, I'll get back to you on bass when my DT770s come in, and oh, also ESW9s for treble.

right now,I can't think of sound signature better than the M50 for me.  they are just perfect for me,exactly the sound i was after.
for the sake of perfection..I would maybe make them more refined over all,but I would not change anything regarding their sound.

Not really just looking for frequencies.

What I want are the K701's mids and soundstage, the Monster Turbine Gold's bass, and the Triple.Fi 10's highs.

Melded with the comfort and portability of the Bose Triport OEs. Yeah I know, that's 4 sets, I cheated.

Check out the SRH750 DJ sometime. My impression of it is a more refined M50.

The SRH750 is special, though. You woudln't catch me dead using the SRH240, SRH440 or SRH840.  But the 750 DJ is a very good model that satisfies my ears. The other three don't compare to the M50 IMO but the 750 DJ is an improvement of the M50 to my ears.
