If you own a Grado, can I ask that you look at them and see how many holes are drilled into the drivers? On the circular cellulose fibre. The HF2 has one on each driver. My GS1000i has 4 in each. I don't remember my RS1 having any, but I didn't pay attention to it so I'm not sure.
I'm wondering if it's an i-version thing or if Grado puts more holes in their higher end models to increase performance (increased vibration rates).
