Name your favorites, or who you think the best collaborating rock singer/songwriters that ever paired up are!

* Lennon & McCartney

* Elton John & Bernie Taupin

* Glenn Tillbrook & Chris Difford (Squeeze)

* Curt Smith & Roland Orzabal (Tears For Fears)

Gary Brooker & Keith Reid

Brian Wilson & Van Dyke Parks

[EDIT] Think I went a different direction with duos based around the composers/vocalists/musicians and the folks dedicated to one thing only: Amazing poetry.

My fingers were hovering over the keyboard for that one, especially since I just posted up two Smiths tunes on youtube by them, but I decided it was kinda lopsided. I mean, Marr was SO much better in that team

I too am a Difford/Tilbrook person. Squeeze is back together. Yay.

Charlie and Craig Reid.

Oddly enough, most of my music preference centers around one songwriter,

Squeeze is coming on Aug 3-4 to NYC. I am very close to pulling the trigger to see them at the Beacon. Hmm, should I?

actually i believe marr wrote most of the tunes, morrissey the lyrics - and that seemed like cheating to me.
