As for recent music.

The Dillinger Escape Plan - Ire Works (2007)
Track 4 (Sick on Sunday) and 7 (When acting as a wave).

Of course anything by Pelican, recently City of Echoes (2007).

Would like to add to the Porcupine tree recommendation
