Hello,
I am about to purchase a backup player that I like. They are not being made anymore and I want to make sure that I have one down the road. If I keep it in the packaging- will there be a problem in a few years with the battery?
Also, if you have a player and don't charge it for awhile- will there be a problem with the battery when you do?

Just some battery questions.

Forgot where I read it, but it was recommended that Lithium batteries be stored with about 30 - 40% charge in them, which coincidentally is the state you normally receive them in when new.

*edit: unfortunately I cannot recall anything regarding shelf-life when stored.
