I am thrilled with my headphone pairing. If one doesn't sound fantastic with any given recording, then the other certainly will:
- Beyerdynamic DT 1990 with Analytical pads
- Grado GH4
The Hafler HA15 and Asgard 2 help too!

PS This thread is about complementary headphones, not complimentary headphones. Headphones can complement one another, they can't compliment one another.
