You Choose for me...

Here is what I have to build my new headphone only system with:

Sennheiser HD-600 with Equinox replacement cable
Creek OBH-21SE (being sent for free from a friend)
PS Audio Xstream Plus audio interconnect and Xstream Digital interconnect (given to me from a friend)

Now bearing that in mind here is my dilemma…being somewhat poor right now I can either buy a new NAD 541i CD player or a discounted Bel Canto DAC2 to hook up to my trusty old Marantz CC3000 (yes it has digital outs)…

So which route would you the educated headphone listener go for?

Keep in mind I listen mostly to Radiohead and Pink Floyd type rock, with a smattering of blues and full on electronica.

Thanks…

while I'm itching to read a 541i v 963 review, I think if your looking to upsample the Philips might be a good bet. People here are raving about it.... I'll have mine in the next week or so
