Here is what I need. Two channel analog out. This will go into an x-can v3 via Zone 2 on Rotel preamp. I would rather not have multichannel. SPDIF output, this will go to a digital input on the same preamp for non-headphone use, eventually a DAC may go in this path but that is unlikely. This will be used for music and gaming. I am leaning toward a Juili@, but I think it is overkill. Thoughts?
Thanks.

I'm leaning toward an Audigy 4 to meet my gaming requirements. It sounds like the better audio cards aren't really suited for gaming. Anybody have a better suggestion?

If you have the extra slots in your computer, you could use two different soundcards. Get a Creative for gaming and maybe the M-Audio Audiophile for music. Or instead of the M-Audio, pick up the SilverStone EB01 USB DAC ($90) and use that to feed your audio system.
