Hi all,

I've recently come to the conclusion that my ears are designed for IEMS, as I find over-ears too uncomfortable. I have used the S4i's for a couple of years and in that time have bought a few pairs of over-ears but kept going back to IEMS. So now is time to upgrade. I've found the Yamaha EPH-100 at a good price and I think they would suit what I want them for, however I am wondering if they are a worthwhile upgrade over the S4i's??

Any advice would be welcome, cheers!

The EPH100 is excellent for electronica, and may be good for some types of jazz, but I didn't find it suitable for rock. Soundstage was too 'intimate' or 'thick'.

Still, its better than the klipsch for all three genres.

You could indulge in a different kind of sound with the TDK BA200.
