PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY YOU NEED BOTH OF THEM
ISN'T THE AMP A DAC ALSO??
AND WHY COULDN'T I KEEP MY GUNGNIR AND JUST ADD THE AMP??

1) Check if your Capslock key is busted?
2) An AMP is NOT a DAC. Amp == Amplifier, DAC == Digital Analog Converter. They're two different things; though in recent years, there are a single box that combines both Amp & DAC into one package.
3) You don't need both Ragnarok / Yggdrasil. Gungnir is a DAC and so is Yggdrasil. If you like your existing Amp, keep it; and get a Yggdrasil. 
 
For me, I have both Gungnir (DAC) and Mjolnir (Balanced-only Amp). I wanted to step up my setup (don't know, don't ask); so I got a Ragnarok. At the moment, my Ragnarok is working with Gungnir; though I'll eventually sell the Gungnir (along with the Mjolnir) once Yggdrasil is on my desk.
