I am looking for a short Y-cable so my son and I can listen to my iPod at the same time. I'd like something well made and ideally with a right angle 3.5mm plug so any suggestions are greatly appreciated...

Get him his own iPod. The shuffle holds a lot of songs and the 1gb is only 49.00.

and you can fill it for him. My 3y/o has her own purple shuffle with all of her Wiggles and Kindermusik favorites on it
and that way we can also take her tunes with us when we go on trips.

No Y is going to long enough for you guys to move about comfortably

Theres another option for wireless sharing but you'd have to buy two sets so you could have one to transmit and two to receive

If you do give a young one a portable player, you should consider limiting the volume. Thus protecting his or her ears.
