An interesting collection of features for the Head-Fi crowd for use on planes and trains I thought. Powers your iPod, raises it to the docked position (i.e. suitable for watching video) and has two built-in 'digital headphone amps' with independent volume controls. These are presumably single-ASIC BTL class-d amps... but does it tap a digital signal or analog? Those who haven't answered my recent question about why there's a Wolfson CODEC in the Universal Dock may ponder that point. And it packs a line out too.

I've recently bought a Tekkeon Mypower but I might consider this as an alternative when it's out.

Bangraman, sorry I haven't been following your discussion on the Universal Dock? You say there's a Wolfson in the dock itself? Why is this - if the base of the iPod is a true line-out? Are you not doubling up? Excuse my ignorance but what the hey?
