I have been wanting to upgrade the wall wart on my HeadRoom Little but from HeadRoom that cost as much as the Little did to start with. I have a XPSU that I don't use any more and wondered if anyone had tried to use it with the HeadRoom Little. I must mention I am not handy with a soldering iron. I did try to use the XPSU with my portable, but the MF connection is not standard for the power plug there. Just trying to see if there is any way to use the XPSU.

Do the current and voltage specs on the X-PSU match the requirements of the Little? If not you may need to do some serious DIY.

If so couldn't you just hack a connector by cutting the end off an old X-Psu cable and soldering it onto the end of another? Just work out which lead is +ve and which lead is -ve and solder + shrink wrap?

I don't actually own an X-Psu but it sounds easy enough if the specs match...

The Little takes plus and minus 15VDC. If the Xpsu has a +/- supply it might work just fine, give Todd a call at HeadRoom and he'll help you out.
