So i got my DT880's back from repair, and they replaced the older drivers with the newer model (newer version) of the driver. I had the headphones completely dialed in with the old drivers, and now i am completely lost on my gaming settings. My old gaming settings sounded awful on the repaired headphones, so here i am trying to get some help from you guys. I have music and my EQ dialed to my liking, but positional audio is awful. I left it just on 2CH with headphone in CS:GO and i am having trouble distinguishing if people are above me/below me, as well as how far away they are. I have tried dolby headphone, but i absolutely hate how it sounds, it sound like everything is infront of me.

try 6 channel and 5.1 in game
turn on dolby headphone, and set to DH2
 
i actually get the opposite effect with dolby headphone.  when its off, positional audio is really bad but sq is quite a bit better.  generally i just use 2ch/hifi for non fps games, and 6ch/dh for fps games
