Hey...
How do I connect 5.1 speakers to the ASUS Xonar Essence STX sound card?
I did read people doing it so it's possible, although the sound card including only 2 ports- Front R and Front L. (the rest is mic, phones amp and stuff)- and what I have to connect is Sub, Rear and center (2 side speakers, center).

Can you help me please?

The Essence STX is a stereo analog card. The card does offer surround sound through the S/Pdif output using the Dolby Digital Live encoder. However, you need a digital speakers system or a receiver to get surround sound using this method.
The Essence ST has the option to add an expansion card that offers 7.1 through analog outputs.

Hope that helps.
