I have a the 598s, and the Xonar DX. Recently I read that the output impedance of the source should be 1/8th of the headphone's impedance. So, the 598's impedance is 50 ohms, and the output impedance of the xonar is apparently ~100 ohms.

I've been thinking of getting a cMoy BB and hooking it up to the xonar, and obviously hookup the headphones to the cMoy. I realize that I should put a note on the order saying that the cMoy will be used with low impedance headphones. Do I still need to worry about the output impedance of the sound card relative to the input of the cMoy?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I can't tell if it should be here, or in the amplifiers section.

No, the input impedance of the CMOY is likely to be at least a few kΩ, and not vary significantly with the frequency. For a line output, 100 Ω output impedance is normal and not uncommon.
