Is the xonar dg upgrade to soundblaster Z noticiable at all?

Card will be used for both gaming and music.

I can get one for like 50 dollars so im wondering if its worth the upgrade.

Also is there any other cards you guys can suggest as well?

In general the SB-Z is an upgrade to the Xonar DG.
It would help to know what headphones you would use with the sound cards?

There is a chance that the SB-Z might give the Sony MDR 1-Rs a little more bass.
