I have a Brainwavz HM5 and HM3. I would like to use HM5 for fps gaming - Battlefield 3,4.
 
I do not have a portable amp or a soundcard. I have my eyes on Asus Xonar DG soundcard and the reviews are pretty good, but if I get that I would not have anything for portable use. So I am also considering a E7 so that I may use it with my Android phone (Xperia SP with USB audio as a DAC) and a external DAC in my PC...So if I get a E7 or a E07K as a DAC with my PC would it be equally good as the DG for gaming purposes- by expanding the soundstage/surround sound? and will it be as good as Xonar DG's Dolby Headphone surround effect?
 
So should I go for Xonar DG or Fiio E7/07K ?

Is you plug the Fiio E7/E07K into the USB connection of a PC, you will only get 2-channel audio, no surround sound.
 
The Asus Xonar DG (PCI) sound card is $30 and there is a $10 mail in rebate this month.
Comes with Headphone 5.1 Surround Sound, for headphones.
